Anthropic publishes its prices in US dollars, and every Canadian owner we talk to does the conversion on a napkin. Here it is done properly: four real-shaped businesses, seat by seat, billed annually and month to month, with year one including our setup fee and what the CBDC typically takes off it.

The seat prices

Three kinds of seat, billed per person, per month.

Minimum 2 seats, and you can mix standard and premium on one plan. No tokens, no API keys, nothing metered on top. CAD figures use the Bank of Canada daily average exchange rate of 1.4064 on September 22, 2026 and are approximate: your card converts at its own rate on the billing day, usually with a fee.

Worked examples

Four businesses, year one, in Canadian dollars.

Year one is twelve months of seats on annual billing plus a one-time setup fee from us. The CBDC line uses the typical shape of the program (75% of an eligible consulting fee, to $5,000); it never touches the seats. CBDC offices serve most of Atlantic Canada outside the largest city cores, so confirm with your local CBDC that your business is in its area. Optional Care support ($350 a month) is left out.

A trades contractor in Moncton. The owner runs month-end and the quotes, so the owner gets the one premium seat; the other four get standard seats.

With a bookkeeper in the picture, Setup + Workflows is the usual fit. A ten-person shop run by the owner could take Setup instead.

At 25 seats the seats cost more over the year than the setup does. At 10 seats it is the other way round.

How much does Claude Team cost in Canadian dollars?
Anthropic prices Claude Team in US dollars. A standard seat is USD 20 a month per person on an annual plan (25 month to month), which is about $28 a month at the Bank of Canada rate of 1.4064 on September 22, 2026. A premium seat is USD 100 (125 monthly), about $141. The minimum is 2 seats. What lands on your card statement depends on the exchange rate on the billing day and your card's conversion fee, and sales tax is not included in any figure on this page.
Do registered Canadian charities pay less?
Yes. Claude for Nonprofits offers Team seats from USD 8 a month per person (about $11) for organizations buying fewer than 20 seats, with a two-seat minimum. Anthropic's rule covers registered 501(c)(3) organizations and their international equivalents, which is where a registered Canadian charity should fit; Goodstack does the checking, so verify before you budget on it. A nonprofit or association that is not a registered charity pays the standard rate.
Does the CBDC cover the Claude seats?
No. The CBDC Consultant Advisory program covers consulting fees, not software. Typically it reimburses 75% of an eligible consulting fee to $5,000, which turns the $3,500 Setup fee into $875 for the owner. The seats are yours to pay from month one. Terms vary by office and by year, so confirm with your local CBDC before you count on it.
Annual or monthly billing: which should a small business pick?
Month to month costs 25% more per seat, and it is worth it for the first month or two while you find out who actually uses Claude. After that, annual billing on the seats people use every week is the cheaper choice. You can add seats partway through a term.
